About the role
The HSW Projects & Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting the development of the Healthscope Health, Safety & Wellbeing Management System (HSWMS), as well as conducting risk-based Health and Safety projects to support Healthscopes HSW Strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HSW projects by coordinating resources, maintaining documentation, monitoring project plans, and ensuring timely, on-budget delivery aligned with methodology.
- Support governance and execution through research, reporting, financial tracking, development of risk-based tools, regulatory review, and strategic advice to the HSW team and National Program Manager.
- Develop and monitor the HSW Management System to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including drafting procedures, guidelines, and forms.
- Contribute to health and safety plans aligned with the HSW Management System and Health and Safety Strategy.
- Maintain the organisational HSW risk register, upload risk assessments, and support sites with forms, templates, and risk management processes.
- Participate in audits and the HSW Assurance Program, including site inspections and action plan development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure systems and initiatives meet business needs.
- Analyse HSW data and support the preparation of regular reports for Healthscope leadership.

Criteria:
Mandatory
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Health, Safety and Wellbeing role.
- Experience developing health and safety related documentation, including procedures, templates and tools.
- Proven experience in program / project management in a complex environment.
Desirable
- Experience in developing health and safety management systems in a healthcare setting.
- Degree in Work, Health and Safety or higher
- Project Management training, e.g. Agile Certification, Prince2 or similar
- Membership or affiliation with a safety professional association
