FareHarbor Core Values:

  • Think Client First
  • We Are One 'Ohana
  • Be Curious and Learn
  • Own It.
  • Act With Integrity
  • Embrace the Challenge

Why FareHarbor?

Founding FareHarbor required unwavering passion. Turning a start-up into the world's leading and largest reservation software for tours, activities, and attractions required relentless dedication and vision. To date, we've helped over 20,000 global businesses operate successfully and are proud to have played a role in enabling business owners to live their dreams.

And since day one, we've known that our real success lies in our people—the Ohana.

With each new feature launched and new client onboarded, there is a team of incredible people behind the scenes who are full of dedication, passion, energy, and the will to succeed. We encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work—to believe in their abilities, to freely express their creativity, and to contribute with their own uniqueness by wearing their true colors. We take care of one another and always prioritize health and wellbeing. We give our people the space and trust to learn, to try, to succeed, to collaborate, to think outside of the box, to make mistakes, and even to fail. And then we come together to try again.

From the minute you join, you have a voice. You find your space. You make an impact. We celebrate our victories, shout our successes, and are always eager to tackle new challenges. And we can't wait to see all that's to come.

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Australia. This is a critical role where you'll act as a strategic partner to our Australian leadership, helping translate business needs into people initiatives that support our growth and strengthen our culture.

You'll be a hands-on partner, providing both operational and strategic HR support across the entire employee lifecycle. You'll partner closely with business leaders and other HRBPs who support specific functions in Australia to ensure a cohesive and impactful HR approach. This role is perfect for a proactive, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

This role is based in our Sydney office and is expected to be in office two days per week. This position reports to the Global Director, HR Business Partners, with a dotted line to our Global Recruitment Manager for talent acquisition.

What you'll do here:

  • Strategic Partnership & Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing expert guidance on all HR matters, including performance management, change management, and conflict resolution. You'll create pragmatic, business-oriented solutions to enhance team performance and help build a positive, supportive culture.
  • Talent Acquisition: Own the full recruitment cycle for your assigned business units. This includes partnering with hiring managers to define roles, developing sourcing strategies, conducting interviews, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience from first contact through to the offer stage. You'll maintain data integrity within our ATS (Greenhouse) and analyze metrics including time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and more, in order to refine processes and improve ways of working.
  • Onboarding & Training: Support design and delivery of comprehensive onboarding and training programs to ensure a smooth and effective integration for all new Australian employees. Identify key training needs and develop and implement training initiatives to empower managers and staff and support business goals.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Work side-by-side with other HRBPs who support specific functions within Australia to ensure alignment on people strategy and program implementation. You'll also collaborate with our global People team in Amsterdam and the US, contributing to and implementing global HR projects and initiatives.
  • Compliance & Policy: Serve as the go-to expert on all Australian employment laws and regulations. You'll ensure compliance, provide guidance on legal matters, and identify opportunities to update or develop new practices that support business objectives.
  • General HR Support: Manage and act as an escalation point for all HR-related matters in the region. This includes managing complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with local/state/federal laws, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of HR experience, with 2+ years as an HR Business Partner or a similar generalist role in a dynamic organization.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian employment law and its implications. Experience with end-to-end recruitment (ideally across various functions), onboarding, and training is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Must have strong business acumen and the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related field.

Benefits

  • Global leave benefit
    • 22 weeks paid parental leave
    • 2 weeks paid grandparent leave
    • Extended care and bereavement leave
    • Life insurance policy
  • Opportunity to share your ideas and make a difference in a growing company.
  • Fast-paced, high-energy and engaging work environment.
  • 26 days of annual leave
  • Work-from-home assistance
  • Educational Opportunities
  • Social hours & events and team-building
  • Hybrid friendly
  • Wellness benefits (Headspace subscription & wellness webinars)

This full-time role is open to candidates with Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or New Zealand residency or those who have a minimum 2.5 years remaining on a valid Australian working visa and do not require sponsorship to work.
