Human Resources Business Partners
Council is seeking to appoint two (2) Human Resources Business Partners, one permanent full time and one maximum term full time to contribute to Council’s success. The maximum term opportunity is for parental leave coverage with a projected end date of August 2026.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to engage, influence and partner with leaders to deliver Council’s People Strategy. The role will develop an understanding of Council’s business strategy and balance the people and commercial landscapes to focus on business outcomes and results. The role will also be responsible for driving leadership, employee engagement and transformation initiatives that support Council’s business and people strategies.
You will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related discipline, and/or significant demonstrated experience in HR and/or IR business partnering roles in a complex and geographically dispersed environment.
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and experience in the application of people practices and initiatives that creates a high performing and safe culture.
- Demonstrated ability to collaboratively engage with key stakeholders to facilitate proactive HR solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop highly effective working relationships by building credibility, respect and rapport with internal and external networks.
- Demonstrated negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills; ability to effectively and creatively challenge people, situations and current thinking.
- Proven ability to secure and analyse a range of quantitative and qualitative information and use this in developing strategies, plans, policies and solutions that meet individual and organisational needs.
- Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
