UGL is seeking an experienced Inlec Supervisor to join our existing project team on site, based in Kwinana on a permanent full time position.
This role is responsible for the supervision of labour and equipment, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with quality standards.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing ongoing project scopes within hazardous area environments, where technical expertise in brownfields settings is critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of dedicated Inlec resources to safely execute a variety of sustaining capital projects in line with UGL and client requirements.
- Provide oversight to ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- Efficiently manage and coordinate work crews across a portfolio of projects in line with approved schedule timelines, focusing on delivering project milestones on time.
- Proactively contribute during project planning phases to align construction methods, timelines, and scopes with industry best practices.
- Seek out opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency across all work practices.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to tradespeople and apprentices.
- Offer prompt solutions to challenges, ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Ensure strict adherence to hazardous area standards (AS/NZS 60079).
- Provide daily and weekly progress updates consistent with internal and client reporting requirements.
- Act as a key communication link between management and workforce, addressing concerns promptly and escalating industrial relations matters when necessary.
- Actively ensure compliance with UGL’s policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the following areas: Code of Conduct, HR / People & Culture Policies, HSE Policies & IT Policies.
About you
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Current WA Electrical Worker’s License
- Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation and Control (UEE31220)
- Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas (EEHA)
- LVR / CPR Current Certification
- Construction Card and a current, valid driver’s license
- Competent in computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel
Work Experience
- Proven experience in oil and gas brownfields projects
- Strong knowledge of hazardous area installations
- Leadership skills with a focus on team performance and safety
