About the area
The Finance Division plays a critical role in ensuring the University’s financial sustainability and stewardship. Through its three core pillars—Financial Compliance, Financial Performance, and Procurement—the division provides strategic financial advice, establishes financial frameworks, and manages financial operations across the University. The Financial Performance team, where this role is situated, is responsible for strategic financial planning, analytics, and enterprise reporting to support decision-making at all levels of the University.
About the opportunity
- You will contribute to the development and delivery of analytics services, financial and business intelligence solutions, and insights to support decision making and business outcomes.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, support analysis of financial and operational data, and prepare reports that inform planning and performance.
- Design and develop financial models and reports that enhance transparency, accuracy, and accountability.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Data/Business Analytics, or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Demonstrated experience in financial and/or business analysis, ideally within a large and complex organisation.
- Proficiency in analytics and visualisation tools, such as Power BI, SQL, and advanced Excel.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA) or progress towards completion is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of the Higher Education sector is desirable.
