Camden Council in partnership with the NSW Government is offering an Internal Audit and Project Risk Cadet position as part of the 'Fresh start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets’ Program.
SALARY: $58,494 p.a. + super

Work Type: Temporary Full Time up to 2 years, commencing November 2025

Internal Audit and Project Risk Cadet within our Internal Audit and Corporate Performance & Customer Experience branches offers the chance to gain valuable on-the-job training while completing up to the final two years of a qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business. A great way to kick-start a successful career! The successful cadet will work under supervision in the Internal Audit and Enterprise Portfolio Management Office teams to develop skills and experience in the planning and delivery of internal audits, project risk assessments and project assurance activities. The cadet will gain hands on experience in risk assessments, process analysis, control design and effectiveness testing, and will provide input into internal audit and project review findings and actions.

Essential:
- Currently enrolled in or studying in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field with a minimum of one year of completed study or 8 units, and in penultimate or final year of study.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills, with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
