The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Inventory Controller to support the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector, – the legendary F/A 18 Super Hornet’s F414 engine, the F135 engine that powers the most advanced fifth-generation fighter in the world – the F35 Lightning II, with specific responsibility for the M1 Abrams AGT1500 engine
Your duties include:
- Ensure timely and accurate provisioning of inventory/spares (raw materials, BDS or consumables) to support internal operations and meet customers contract requirements.
- Provide contemporary inventory management services for operational and production activities, inclusive of purchasing, invoicing and the optimisation of stock levels through forecasting models.
- Maintain assigned inventory stocks across ERP systems in a cost effective, timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor the technical aspects of inventory related activities, ensuring compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver timely and meaningful reporting and analysis to the Program Managers, Finance Managers and Sourcing Director for use in monthly reports.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of purchasing and procurement activities.
- Ensure inventory holdings are sufficient to meet production schedule outcomes, whilst ensuring reduction of total material costs and disposal of obsolete or excessive stock.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Extensive Supply Chain/Logistics/Inventory Controllers management experience in the Aviation or Commercial or similar highly legislated industry.
- Australian citizen with the ability to attain National Defence Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1).
- ERP Experience, such as SAP, MILIS, or IFS
- Experience in modern Stocktake Management techniques.
- An awareness of National Chain of Responsibility legislation.
- Experience and ability in providing effective reporting to customers.
