What does the job look like?
The Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management on site, delivering high-level stock control support through the efficient execution of receipting, stocktakes, cycle counts, stock adjustments, and credit returns. This role also manages damaged goods, order verification, out-of-stock and aged stock reporting, loss prevention initiatives, and the optimisation of product location accuracy to ensure seamless warehouse operations. You will also be responsible to manage a small team and ensure all KPIs are met. This will be a permanent position (Mon – Fri) and based at Wodonga. Key Areas:
- Ensure timely and accurate inventory processes, including stock receipting, cycle counts, stocktakes, adjustments, and returns
- Perform root cause analysis of stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Provide regular reporting and maintain accurate records using the client's mainframe system
- Maintain stock integrity and visibility while minimising product loss
- Develop and maintain Linfox procedures during system downtime and audit requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer KPIs are achieved
- Actively contribute to a safe working environment and uphold Linfox’s Vision Zero safety culture

- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing or transport environments
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and experience using RF and warehousing systems
- Knowledge of inventory best practices and reconciliation processes
- Proven ability to make informed decisions and work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A passion for safety, with a proactive approach to WHS
