Investment Manager – UK and Europe
- Salary: $113,022 - $124,884 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term role: 2 years
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
The Role
The position is responsible for facilitating and delivering international investment opportunities for Victoria coming from Europe and the United Kingdom. This will be done through implementing investment attraction strategies, working with international companies and contributing to the investment pipeline to secure new investments into the State.
The responsibilities of the Investment manager will include:
- Engaging and building relationships with international companies considering investment in Victoria/Australia.
- Support international VGTI offices to develop and implement international investment attraction strategies that seek to secure investment and jobs into Victoria.
- Contribute to international lead generation activities and work with VGTI offices to proactively identify international investment targets.
The Team
The position of Investment Manager – UK and Europe forms a part of the Investment and Engagement branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment group.
The Industry, Trade and Investment group works closely with businesses locally and globally to grow Victorian jobs, drive innovation and increase Victoria's international competitiveness. Positioning Victoria at the forefront of global competitiveness, the Investment and Engagement branch (Invest Victoria) plays a pivotal role in shaping Victoria's business landscape by driving strategic investment, strengthening industry connections, and aligning economic outcomes with government priorities.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in economic development and project management. Experience working with prospective investors seeking to enter a new market would be well regarded.
- Experience with working with Europeans, preferably in the economic or business field
- Demonstrated understanding of Victoria's value proposition as a location for international business investment and how business make investment location decisions.
