We are seeking a technically skilled and service-oriented IT Support & Systems Technician to join our Technology and Innovation and Virtual Health team in Brisbane. This role plays a critical part in ensuring staff across the organisation receive timely, high-quality IT support, while also maintaining hardware assets and assisting with system administration. You will be part of a collaborative and fast-paced team, providing both onsite and remote support to internal users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, and system-related issues across the business
- Deliver responsive and professional customer service to internal users, both onsite and remotely
- Log, track, and resolve service tickets, maintaining clear and accurate documentation
- Configure, deploy, and manage end-user devices including laptops and mobile phones
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and manage hardware storage and lifecycle
- Perform basic system admin tasks including user setup, password resets, and access permissions
- Assist with internal system rollouts and software deployments as directed
- Ensure IT policies, compliance requirements, and security protocols are upheld
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT Support or Helpdesk Technician role
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and basic networking
- Confident supporting hardware and peripherals (laptops, mobile phones, printers, docking stations)
- Familiar with helpdesk ticketing platforms (e.g., Zendesk) and asset tracking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Experience with Active Directory, MDM, or collaboration tools like Teams/Zoom (desirable)
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft) are a bonus
