Jigsaw OOSH is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Casual Educators to join our team and support our vibrant Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) program!
About the Role
As a Casual Educator, you will play a key role in delivering exciting and engaging programs for children in our care. You will support our permanent educators in providing a fun and stimulating environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of all children. We require a minimum availability of at least three afternoon shifts per week. During school term time: afternoon shifts range from 2:45pm - 6:00pm, with shifts being a minimum of 2 hours, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively engage with children in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and group projects.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate programs that encourage creativity, teamwork, and personal development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following health and safety regulations and OOSH policies.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, including set-up and pack-up of activities and equipment.
- Follow all policies and procedures related to child protection, health, hygiene, and workplace safety.
What We’re Looking For
- A fun, energetic, and enthusiastic personality with a passion for working with children.
- Experience working with children (previous OOSH, childcare, or teaching experience is highly desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to different environments and work flexible hours.
- A commitment to child safety and well-being.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to apply.
