About the Role
The demand planning team at Gategroup is responsible for forecast and planning of customer aircraft and meals loadings and the validation of key customer data for invoicing, supporting downstream teams such as procurement, labour planning, meal preparation, and finance in delivering to and exceeding customer expectations. We now have a rare opportunity for a Junior Demand Planner based at Mascot who is passionate about learning to join our friendly high performing team.
You will focus on:
- The short-range customer meal and handling forecast for a valued customer, supporting complete and on time meal planning and delivery.
- Assisting with the management of operational and delivery data for a key customer.
- Validation and correction of customer data for completed flights, supporting finance with invoicing the customer and the demand planning team with the delivery of internal reporting KPIs.
- Development of strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with various internal stakeholders such as master data management, operations, procurement, materials management, and finance to investigate and resolve discrepancies on the underlying systems and data.
- Supporting internal operations in the periodic review and maintenance of production schedules.
- Working closely with key customer stakeholders in the management and resolution of queries.
- Ad-hoc administrative and analysis activities within the demand planning team as required.
About you
- Recently or are about to complete your tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting or similar
- From 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of forecasting would be ideal
- Possess skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically EXCEL
- Must have a proactive self-starter approach to tasks
- Willingness to learn
- Can work effectively in a team-based environment
- Strong problem solving skills
- Must have the ability and desire to meet required timelines
- Strong interpersonal skills. Able to communicate effectively, (verbally and in writing) at all levels including external clients
