We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen hand to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will play an essential role in maintaining cleanliness, assisting in food preparation, and supporting kitchen operations to ensure smooth service. Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, washing ingredients, and preparing ingredients.
- Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly.
- Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans to maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Keep the kitchen clean, including floors, surfaces, and appliances.
- Properly dispose of waste and manage recycling as per guidelines.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Perform any other kitchen duties as assigned by the head chef or sous chef.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen hand or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to assist with various kitchen tasks.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
