Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and efficient Kitchen Hand to support our back-of-house operations during weekday lunch service. The successful candidate will assist with general cleaning, basic food preparation, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent daytime hours with the potential for additional work within our broader hospitality group.
Rostered Hours:
- Monday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
- Tuesday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
- Wednesday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
- Thursday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
Additional Work:
Weekend and night shifts may be available across our group of venues for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic food prep tasks as directed by the chef or cook
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, benches, floors, and dishes
- Dispose of waste and maintain general cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with stock deliveries and storage as required
- Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Skills & Experience:
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience preferred but not essential
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and communication skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
