About the Positions
We are looking to welcome a Knowledge and Translation Specialist to provide evidence-based content that can be transformed into innovative advocacy and education pieces.
- Part time 0.6FTE opportunity.
- Flexible working – work between home and our main Milton office.
- Negotiable Salary + Super + Salary packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, synthesise, evaluate and translate research findings into relevant internal and external communication to support evidence-led service development and best practice.
- Lead and manage the analysis, development and implementation of knowledge translation activities that align with strategic priorities to build best practice approaches through policy and service development.
- Compile research and data to help inform grant applications in collaboration with the Service Evaluation and Grants Coordinator and other relevant stakeholders.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, human services, teaching or research related degree.
- At least five years’ experience working with, or advocating on behalf of children, young people and their families?who have been impacted by trauma or at least two years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Demonstrated success with child-focused written material e.g. journal articles, service delivery manuals, conference presentations, resources, successful grants and tenders etc.
- Knowledge of current trauma treatment trends and child protection legislation and policy reforms.

Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
- Willingness to undergo and pass a Child Safety Personal History Screening Check (LCS2).
