Laboratory Technician
QML Pathology is a Healius business. We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities. - Perform manual and automated diagnostic testing
- Specimen storage and retrieval
- Equipment maintenance and operation
- Maintenance of records
- Assist with stock control
- Maintain confidentiality of customer
- A Diploma of Laboratory Technology, Associate Degree or equivalent
- Previous laboratory experience, preferably in diagnostic testing, is desirable
- A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
- Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes
- Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety and quality assurance processes and procedures
- Previous Pathology Laboratory experience is desirable, but not essential
