We are seeking a dedicated, versatile hard worker with a great attitude & work ethic to join our team who has a passion for the outdoors and enhancing Mackay's amazing lifestyle.
The Position:
To service its client base, DAM Services requires new Team members who are proficient in outdoor landscaping services (i.e. mowing, whipper-snipping, weed spraying & hedge trimming or Arborist Crew groundie). Work hours are 6:45am – 2:45pm (with ½ hr lunch break). We'll provide all the training you may require. A Flexible Work Arrangement is also offered (for a 4-day 10 hr pd work week).
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of mowers to achieve well-groomed outdoor spaces.
- Use whipper-snippers (line-trimmers) to trim grass and weeds around edges, obstacles, and hard-to-reach areas.
- Operate weed spraying equipment (typically back-pack) as well as high pressure water cleaning equipment.
- Follow established procedures and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries... and to look after your mates!
- Ensure that all areas are cleared of debris and left in a neat and tidy condition.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to quality and customer service.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns or requests as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in landscape gardening.
- Knowledge of gardening equipment, techniques, and cleaning practices & products.
- Ability to be flexible in approach to working conditions and manage time effectively.
- Proven ability to follow instructions (very important as our clients demand the best from us!)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks (especially in the NQ heat).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
