As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Scheduler to join our dynamic team. We are seeking a driven and highly organised Lead Scheduler to oversee the coordination and planning of rosters within our disability support services. This role is central to ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of care, requiring a confident professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
As Lead Scheduler, you will take ownership of developing and maintaining service delivery schedules that align with our clients’ care needs. You will manage internal scheduling teams, work closely with external providers, and ensure consistent and efficient coverage across all services. Your ability to anticipate challenges, adapt quickly, and lead with clarity will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day rostering operations for disability support workers
- Ensure staff rosters align with client care plans, preferences, and NDIS requirements
- Maintain accurate scheduling data using software, ensuring compliance and efficiency
- Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet service needs
- Handle last-minute changes to schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to client support
- Monitor scheduling performance and produce regular reports to inform management decisions
- Analyse rostering trends and implement improvements to increase service delivery efficiency
- Train, mentor, and support junior schedulers, promoting adherence to internal processes
- Participate in regular meetings with service coordinators to align scheduling with operational priorities
- Build and maintain strong communication with clients and families to ensure their needs are met
- Prepare and distribute scheduling updates and reports to relevant stakeholders
- Conduct staff performance reviews and contribute to professional development
- Support service coordinators in strategic workforce planning and reporting
- Participate in an on-call rotation to manage urgent scheduling needs outside standard hours
Qualifications and Experience:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Sound attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Confident working independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Experience in rostering and the disability services sector.
- Familiarity with the NDIS framework, SCHADS award and Shift Care / Nightingale software.
- Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent
- Diploma of Community Services
