"Leader of Learning & Wellbeing"
School Coordinator Level 1 (Permanent) + Acting Level 2 Opportunity (up to 12 months)
Join our team as a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing - School Coordinator (Level 1) in a permanent ongoing role, with an exciting opportunity to step up into an Acting Level 2 position for up to 12 months to cover parental leave. This is a fantastic chance to grow your leadership experience while making a real difference in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing, you will lead and collaborate with a team of specialists including teachers, teacher's aides, school therapists, coordinators, administrators and other Aspect staff to deliver our evidence-informed, student-focused autism-specific approach. Use a person-centred and family-focused approach to ensure the delivery of quality educational standards. As a core member of the school's Learning Support Team (LST), you will lead and supervise the teaching team and partner parents, carers, and other members of the school community. You may be required to undertake on-class teaching responsibilities in the event of casual staff unavailability.

About the School:
Aspect Hills Shire School is the newest addition to our ten autism-specific schools across New South Wales and South Australia. At Aspect, we know every student is unique, so our approach focuses on personalised learning tailored to each child’s strengths, interests, and needs.
With small classes of around six students, led by trained teachers and supported by teacher’s aides, your child will receive the attention they need to thrive. Our curriculum aligns with national standards while providing flexibility and individualised support.
The Aspect model helps students build independence and confidence, preparing them for transitions to less specialised settings when ready. Families also become part of a welcoming, supportive community that shares the journey together.

Qualifications
- To provide for consistency of support, we are ideally looking for coordinators who are currently working or are available to work full-time (38hrs per week)
- Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications (as determined by NESA)
- Registration with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority)
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Experience in liaising with Assisted School Transport (ASTP) providers and contractors
- Manage the daily staffing schedule and process as required
- Demonstrated leadership abilities including team support
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum
- Experience in developing IP's and curriculum for students on the autism spectrum preferred
- NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment
- Depending on the school's location/requirements it may be essential to have a current driver's licence (per relevant state legislation)
- A Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence is desirable
- You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.

What we offer:
- Full-time base salary range of $90,100k - $127,281k (depending on qualifications, accreditation and relevant teaching experience) + special education allowance $3,699 p.a. + superannuation
- Coordinator 1 allowance is $9,958 p.a. & Coordinator 2 allowance is $19,750 p.a.
