About the role
Are you ready to take the lead in maintaining vital road infrastructure across our region?
As a Leading Hand (RMPC), you’ll play a key role in the delivery of maintenance services for road reserves managed by Ipswich City Council under the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) Roads Maintenance Performance Contract. Working closely with the RMPC team, your focus will be on performing general civil works and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
In the absence of a supervisor, you’ll provide guidance and direction to team members, helping to maintain productivity and safety on site.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertake detailed maintenance and minor construction works on roads and drainage assets
- Lead and support team members to complete assigned tasks
- Work with the team ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with contract requirements
- Liaise and provide feedback to supervisors, team members, council officers and customers

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Current MR Class Licence would be an advantage
- Experience in maintenance of roads and drainage infrastructure
- The ability to operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner

About the benefits
This is a full-time permanent position with a salary commencing at $71,190 plus 12.5% superannuation.
