Learning Assistant
Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a vibrant and professional Learning Assistant to join our team.
At Grimwade House, the Learning Assistant plays a vital role in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child is empowered to thrive. Working closely with classroom teachers and specialist staff, the assistant supports students with diverse learning needs—academic, social, emotional, and behavioural—ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.

You will
Support individual students with additional learning needs, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, or behavioural challenges, under the direction of teaching staff.
Provide in-class support to help students access the curriculum, complete tasks, and participate in classroom activities.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that supports student wellbeing and social development.
Promote student independence.
Maintain written documentation on student learning as required.
Supervise students during transitions, breaks, and excursions, ensuring safety and appropriate behaviour.
