The Role
This exciting role works collaboratively with the broader P&C leadership team, leading the Learning and Capability team in the design, planning, delivery and evaluation of targeted, innovative learning and development programs and initiatives.
You will be responsible for:
the development and implementation of a Learning and Capability Strategy and Plan that supports the achievement of the University’s strategic plan to enhance capabilities and ensure agility to meet future workforce needs;
leading a team of Learning and Capability professionals, aligning the team to a high performance, culture and fostering positive employee engagement;
engaging across ECU as a Learning expert, providing stakeholders with guidance and support to develop practical solutions to meet the university’s learning needs;
fostering an environment of continuous improvement, learning focus and outcomes delivery;
Learning Management System contract management, administration and improvements.

About you
The ability to perform collaboratively in a senior leadership team and achieve strategic and operational priorities for the organisation are essential requirements for the successful candidate.
Additionally, you will demonstrate:
planning, project management and change management skills and the ability to lead multiple projects and business-as-usual programs;
proven subject matter expertise in designing and delivering learning and capability programs to increase leadership and employee capability;
the ability to focus strategically and design and develop forward-thinking strategies that respond to challenges and opportunities;
a proven track record in developing and leading high-performing teams.
