Job Description
We are seeking a student-centred and highly organised Learning Resource and Student Experience Coordinator to join our vibrant Sydney campus team. This is a 9–12 month maternity leave cover, working full time from North Sydney campus.
In this vital role you’ll support academic success through a unique combination of learning resource management, tailored academic support, and coordination of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and student experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide information and guidance to students to improve academic literacy, digital skills, and independent learning.
Develop, promote and execute one-on-one academic skills activities and workshops.
Source, curate and manage print, IT, and digital learning resources (e.g., textbooks, e-books, databases).
Contribute to the planning and execution of student experience initiatives and academic enrichment programs, including workshops, peer support, and events.
Collaborate with Course Coordinators and support staff to identify and assist at-risk students.
Support WIL processes by working closely with Course Coordinators and lecturers to prepare students for placement success, helping students build their job-readiness skills (e.g. resume writing, application strategies), while empowering them to secure roles independently.
Identify and engage with potential host organisations and industry contacts to broaden placement opportunities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a combination of educational insight, strong coordination skills, and a genuine commitment to student support. You enjoy collaborating with a wide range of people and thrive in a dynamic, student-focused environment.
You can demonstrate experience in:
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in tertiary education, academic support, or student engagement.
Experience in coordinating learning resources, academic skills support, or student learning initiatives.
Proven ability to deliver student-facing projects, workshops, or engagement activities that enhance the student experience.
Strong administrative and organisational skills, including scheduling, reporting, and use of digital platforms.
Demonstrated experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including students, academic staff, and external partners or placement providers.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with a supportive and professional approach to engaging diverse student cohorts.
A flexible, proactive, and collaborative mindset with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
A clear understanding of compliance requirements including information management policies, copyright obligations, and regulatory frameworks such as the ESOS Act and National Code.
