Internship:
The internship requires an immediate start, and a commitment of 2-3 days per week through to the 19th September, 2025.
Akaysha is currently building the 850MW/1680MWh Waratah Super Battery (WSB), having won a competitive tender process run by EnergyCo. WSB is the largest committed BESS in the world, and complements Akaysha’s pipeline of other projects in the NEM. You'll be working with our General Counsel (Ex-King & Wood Mallesons Lawyer), General Manager Legal (Ex-CEFC, Arnold Bloch Leibler lawyer) and Senior Manager, Legal (Ex-Corrs Chamber and HSF lawyer) alongside many others in our Commercial, and Legal Pillars plus the wider Akaysha team including Engineering and Energy Markets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and preparing consultancy agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other - contracts as required to support the Legal Pillar.
- Conducting legal research and monitoring regulations affecting the energy space and other - aspects of the business, across the Asia/Pacific, US and other regions.
- Assisting to identify, create and implement legal processes to improve the efficiency of the - Legal Pillar.
- Assisting to assess and implement software tools to improve efficiency, collaboration and data - analytics within the Legal Pillar.
- Managing the legal inbox and providing other paralegal support as required
You should consider applying if you're:

- A law student, ideally in your final year or pen ultimate
- Commercially minded, passionate about climate, renewables and the energy transition
- Student looking for skills on how to run a process, working directly with seniors and leadership team, strong ownership over workstreams, working in a complex regulatory environment.
- Experience lends itself to law (projects, M&A) and other (energy, infrastructure)
