We are looking for a Lifestyle and Wellbeing Assistant (Also known as Recreational Activities Officer) to work at our 60 bed Residential Care home to assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and lifestyle programs.

Support the goals of care for the residents in the service in partnership with each resident and/or their representative
Identify barriers that prevent consumers from participating in meaningful and enjoyable activities
Encourage the wellbeing and independence of residents by supporting them to engage in preferred activities and interests
Embody a person-centred approach, recognising and promoting the individual's unique goals and preferences
Participate in risk management and continuous quality improvement activities
Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver positive outcomes for residents
About you

Experience working in Lifestyle/Recreational Activities teams in Aged care/Disability/Community services desirable
A sound understanding of aged care and the principles guiding this sector
General computer skills
Australian work rights
It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
