About Role
We are seeking a qualified, skilled, and hardworking General Labourer with a High Risk Licence to join our dynamic team.
- The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the aesthetic and functional quality of our construction project.
- This role involves working on a commercial project (a hotel being renovated on Lindemann Island).
- You are expected to provide exceptional services that meet our stringent quality standards.
Please note:
This role is being offered on contractor basis not as full-time employee.
The Work location is Lindemann Island, not Airlie beach.
The Salary/Pay range is $40 - $43 per hour.
Information about project
- If you get selected for this role, you would be working in a team on the project of renovation of a hotel on Lindeman Island.
- Lindeman island is near Airlie beach in Queensland and is accessible by boat.
- The project is ongoing right now.
- This hotel has not currently been functional for a few years and is the only hotel on the island.
- This exciting project is to remodel the hotel so it can become the next No #1 holiday destination for holiday goers.
Benefits and perks
- Food and accommodation will be provided to you as you will be required to stay on Lindeman Island.
- Designated rooms have been set aside for our working teams in the same hotel, which will most likely be shared accommodation with others from the project team.
- Food will be provided three times a day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well.
- The travel from Airlie beach to Lindeman Island will also be provided via boat but it will be planned trips to drop workers off on the island at scheduled periods only.
The perks included with this project mean you will also save money on accommodation and food!
Commuting back and forth between Lindemann Island and Airlie beach will not be possible due to the constraints of the project. The project is expected to take around 8 months.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including the transportation of materials and equipment.
- Operate high-risk equipment such as forklifts, elevated work platforms, or cranes, in accordance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with the construction team.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
To be successful you will need:
- Valid High Risk Work Licence (e.g., forklift, crane, elevated work platform).
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures on construction sites.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Valid White Card (construction induction training).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Job Types: Subcontract, Contract
Pay: $38.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 52 per week
