What you will be doing
Reporting directly to the Print Production Manager, this role will assist with the ongoing operation and maintenance of mail production at the VEC's print workshop including mail insertion and printing equipment. This role will also be responsible for:
- Coordinating a small team of mail production technicians
- Actively supporting BAU and special projects relating to the delivery of printed election products and ballot material
- Communicating with third-party suppliers in relation to production requirements and contract specifications.
- Supporting the development of internal procedures and procedures, including standard operating procedures
- Gathering key information to support estimation, resource allocation, scheduling and documentation of production specifications.
- Supporting the print production team with printing and finishing
What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated experience with mail house operations and equipment.
- Experience with operating production printing and finishing equipment is desirable.
- The ability to communicate, influence and negotiate a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience leading and motivating teams
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills partnered with high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced business environment
- Commitment to the VEC's core values
