About the opportunity
The Maintenance Officer / Gardener / Bus Driver is responsible for managing the maintenance services and the upkeep of our gardens at our Moran Kellyville home. This role is important to us as it ensures the safe transport of our residents on outings and visits, the maintenance of our residences and the upkeep of our gardens.
The Maintenance Officer/Gardener / Bus driver is responsible for routine maintenance activities inside and outside the home and the Preventative Maintenance Schedule which covers equipment, building, fixtures and fittings and some gardens. They coordinate external Contractors who regularly visit the home and ensure compliance with building related regulations is maintained.
Shift : Monday to Wednesday : 08:00am to 16:00pm (Hours may potentially increase in the future)

Key Responsibility :
- Transport residents and other passengers
- Obey all traffic laws to ensure passengers arrive to their destination safely
- Maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle at all times
- Assist passengers with getting on and off the bus as needed
- Perform maintenance tasks – Reactive & Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Maintain records using established systems and processes
- Arrange equipment and building repairs with external suppliers
- Receive deliveries and manage bulk storeroom
- Oversee external contractors e.g. pest control, electrical
- Maintain the grounds of the home
- Meet safety, quality, and hygiene standards
Skills/Requirements:
- Current NSW Driving Licence Class LR (Light Rigid)
- Bus < 3 ton and Manual
- Previous general maintenance and gardening experience is essential
- Painting experience
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work semi-autonomously
- Experience and understanding of Legislative requirements for Essential Services and WHS requirements for maintenance & repairs
- Trade qualification desirable
- Basic Computer skills
- Knowledge of the aged care industry will be favourably considered
- Current police check and valid working rights.
- Current Influenza vaccination
