Maintenance Handyman Wanted – Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm
Are you a hands-on, practical problem-solver with a love for the outdoors and animals? The Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm is looking for a Maintenance Handyman to join our team!
About the Role:
As our Maintenance Handyman, you’ll be responsible for keeping the farm in top shape, ensuring our facilities, enclosures, and equipment are safe and well-maintained. This is a varied role where no two days are the same—you’ll be fixing fences, repairing equipment, maintaining buildings, and assisting with general farm upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- General repairs and maintenance of buildings, fences, and enclosures
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and welding as needed
- Ensuring enclosures and play areas are safe and secure
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Assisting with landscaping, irrigation, and general farm upkeep
- Troubleshooting and fixing issues as they arise
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in handyman/maintenance work (trade background is a bonus)
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the go
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs
- Experience in operating tractor/loader
- A positive attitude and willingness to be hands-on
- A love for animals and the farm environment
