The opportunity
Coregas has an opportunity for 1 Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role will be based at our Yennora, Sydney, New South Wales site. The duties will include:
- Conduct tests and inspections of electrical systems, components, and installations to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Assist in the design and layout of electrical installations including substations, switchgear, cabling systems, and motor control systems.
- Prepare technical drawings, plans, and diagrams using CAD software or manual drafting techniques.
- Collect and analyse data, perform complex calculations, and prepare charts, graphs, and tabulations to support engineering decisions.
- Estimate costs and assist in budgeting for electrical projects and maintenance activities.
- Support the manufacture, assembly, construction, and operation of electrical equipment and distribution systems.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of tests, procedures, and system performance.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all production plant, distribution equipment by monitoring, maintaining, and repairing production equipment in accordance with MEX (in-house maintenance planning system) and at intervals requested. This includes isolation and return of plant and equipment as necessary.
- Troubleshoot equipment and electrical malfunction and resolve issues.
- Ensure work orders are executed on time and documentation is complete for work order close out
- Maintain spares and prepare equipment for Coregas branches. Raise purchase orders for parts and spares as required.
- Organise despatch of spares to Coregas branches as required
- Issue work permits for non-routine maintenance tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in risk assessments and audits.
- Perform maintenance activities or project tasks at other Coregas and practice good housekeeping standards.
Candidates are required to hold relevant trade or degree qualifications and at least 3+ years of experience performing Mechanical/Electrical duties within the oil/gas industry or similar
The remuneration will be $42.234 per hour | $83,455 per annum + superannuation.
