About the Role
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our frontline team. This role involves providing daily care and support to individuals with physical, intellectual, psychosocial, and age-related support needs, including children and adults with complex care requirements.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Personal care and hygiene support
- Manual handling, including the use of hoists and mobility equipment
- Medication administration (where appropriately trained)
- Community access and social engagement activities
- Transportation of clients using your own reliable vehicle
Shifts vary in length, starting from a minimum of 2 hours, and are available across a wide range of suburbs.
Availability across weekdays and weekends (Monday–Sunday) is essential.
You must have access to a reliable, roadworthy vehicle.
Position Requirements – Male Disability Support Worker
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated confidence and experience working with clients with intellectual disabilities
- Fluent in English – both verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Availability to work both weekdays and weekends
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing client needs
- Smart phone with internet access (for rostering, communication, and documentation)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Criminal History Check (within the last 12 months)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Full Australian driver's licence
- Access to a reliable, roadworthy vehicle
- Comprehensive car insurance
Desirable Criteria:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or Aged Care
- Medication Administration Certificate
- Minimum 6–12 months of experience in a disability support or related care role
