About the role
As the Manager, Calibration & Testing Laboratory within Engineering Services, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, professional technology support to SA Pathology and its diverse customer base. You will oversee the planned and remedial maintenance of biomedical equipment assets, provide expert engineering advice, and drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of best practice principles.
In this senior leadership role, you will support the Manager, Engineering Services in shaping departmental strategy, developing operational plans and budgets, and ensuring alignment with SA Pathology’s mission and goals. You will also lead a team of staff, contractors, and consultants, fostering strong stakeholder relationships to achieve excellence in service delivery and corporate program outcomes.
About You
You will be a highly skilled engineering professional with a strong background in biomedical devices and technical leadership. Your ability to manage complex projects, support a multidisciplinary team, and maintain high service standards will be key to success in this role.
Key requirements:
Appropriate degree in engineering with extensive experience in maintaining and repairing complex biomedical and electromechanical systems.
Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to manage people, resources, and business activities effectively.
Comprehensive knowledge of biomedical device operation, relevant standards, codes of practice, and South Australian legislative requirements.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
