About the role

The Manager, Corporate Affairs - Planning & Reporting will coordinate the internal reporting processes to communicate to Board, sub-committees and the Executive Team; as well as the progress and outcomes against the Corporate Affairs strategy and underlying workplans. You will work closely with the relevant business owners to collect the data on a monthly basis, preparing the management report, and project managing any follow-up action items. This role will be responsible for coordinating Corporate Affairs reporting, working with team members across the function (and in other teams across the business, such as Finance and P&C) to collect reporting inputs, prepare draft reports, manage the review and approval processes, and importantly, to support continuous improvement with evolving internal reporting to best meet business technology roadmap.

What you’ll be doing
  • Internal Board and Executive reporting: You will create and deliver a reporting
    schedule and production of reports on behalf of Corporate Affairs for Board & sub-committees, the Executive Team, Steering Committees and external audiences if relevant.
  • Project management: You will collaborate across teams to effectively manage projects and support teams to achieve the seamless delivery of strategic initiatives, effectively managing stakeholders and projects to deliver exceptional results.
  • Strategy, planning and governance: Working closely with the GM, PRS Corporate Affairs and the Corporate Affairs Leadership Team, you will oversee and be responsible for planning and governance for Corporate Affairs including:
    • Managing the development of Corporate Affairs schedule and supporting team workplans, including identification of strategic priorities and analysis of external environment;
    • The planning and delivery of identified business improvement priorities;
    • Monitoring and tracking relevant deliverables for Corporate Affairs and team strategies, priorities and other special projects;
    • Managing internal Corporate Affairs updates, coordinating and delivering internal updates such as Weekly WIPs, monthly meetings and similar.
    • Establishing and maintaining stakeholder engagement mapping processes and plans.
  • Reputation and insights: You will review the analysis of relevant internal and external data to derive insights and key actions to maintain and improve AGL’s reputation. Using this, you will co-ordinate activity across Corporate Affairs to implement actions, monitor outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge management: Working closely with GM PRS, you will assist with the development and implementation of effective knowledge management across the function.

What you’ll bring to the table
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably within a Corporate Affairs function)
  • Experience in planning and reporting, including developing and managing reporting processes and managing complex, multi-stakeholder workplans.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Solid experience with quantitative and qualitative reporting metrics and driving insights.
  • A “critical connector” who is able to collaborate and bring together distinct parts of the business to deliver an exceptional end result.
  • Excellent Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word Skills. Sharepoint experience essential.
