About the role
As the Manager, Human Resources, you will lead the delivery of strategic and operational HR services across the Parliament of Victoria. This includes overseeing the HR Business Partnering and HR Administration teams and driving initiatives that build workforce capability, improve employee experience and support organisational effectiveness.
You will play a key leadership role in modernising HR systems and processes, implementing evidence-based workforce strategies and providing expert advice to senior stakeholders on complex people matters. This role is critical to shaping a future-focused, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and implementation of HR strategies, frameworks and policies that support workforce capability, succession planning, leadership development and employee engagement.
- Empowering high-performing HR teams to deliver responsive, customer-focused services aligned with strategic objectives.
- Optimising digital HR platforms and workforce analytics to support data-informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Driving HR transformation initiatives to enhance service efficiency, employee experience and organisational performance.
About you
You are an experienced and strategic HR leader who excels at building strong partnerships, leading transformational initiatives and delivering high-impact HR services in complex environments.
As an ideal candidate you will also possess:
- Extensive experience in leading strategic HR functions, including workforce planning, policy development and service transformation.
- Proven leadership capability, with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams within diverse and dynamic settings.
- Advanced knowledge of digital HR platforms and workforce analytics, with the ability to leverage technology to support strategic decision-making.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency producing complex correspondence, briefings and drafting policy.
- Proven experience in leading organisational change and transformation.
