About the Role
As a Mid-Level Manual QA Engineer at Bilue, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our mobile applications. Collaborating closely with developers, designers, and project managers, you’ll help deliver seamless experiences for our clients by identifying and resolving issues before they reach the end user. Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Execution: Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test strategies, cases and scripts for mobile applications.
- Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing across iOS and Android platforms, covering functional, UI/UX, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g. Jira), providing clear and actionable details and evidence.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers and stakeholders to understand application requirements, user stories, and edge cases.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that mobile applications meet functional and performance requirements, identifying any gaps or inconsistencies before they reach the end user.
- Test Environment Setup: Set up and manage testing environments for different mobile devices and operating systems.
- Cross-Device Testing: Conduct and track tests across multiple devices, screen sizes, and OS versions to ensure compatibility.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to improve the development and testing processes, helping to establish best practices of shifting left.
Qualifications
About You
You’re an experienced Manual QA Engineer with a strong background in Agile environments, and you thrive in dynamic, collaborative teams. With a sharp eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, you’re passionate about identifying issues early and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
You bring a deep understanding of native mobile app testing across both iOS and Android platforms and are committed to delivering seamless, user-focused digital experiences.
Your Experience Includes:
- 4+ years of hands-on manual QA testing, with a strong focus on native mobile applications (iOS and Android)
- Solid understanding of the mobile app development lifecycle and release processes
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience with mobile testing tools like Appium, TestFlight, and Firebase for exploratory and compatibility testing
- Comfort using debugging tools such as Android Studio, Xcode, and Logcat
- Basic understanding of APIs and tools like Postman for integration testing
- Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium) is a plus
- Bonus points for experience with performance testing tools like Charles Proxy or Firebase Performance Monitoring
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Clear, concise communication – able to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and confident juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
