We are seeking a permanent Manufacturing Quality Inspector (Level 1 MQE) to join our team based on site in Port Melbourne.

The Quality team at Boeing Aerostructures Australia (BAA) ensures that conforming aerospace components are consistently delivered to our commercial airplane customers. Manufacturing Quality Engineers verify product, problem solve and provide guidance to operations teams and are a vital part of our manufacturing support.

There is ongoing opportunity within the Quality team to challenge yourself with the use of new digital technologies and develop an understanding of complex engineering requirements. Most importantly, as a member of the Quality team you will be an advocate for our customers through inspection and verification of our products.

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure the current revision of tooling is maintained in the work are

Raise and contribute to resolution of NCR's (Non-Conformance Reports) and CAR's (Corrective Action Reports

Plan standard repairs and rework work order

Create and maintain Quality Records (Quality System and Project specific

Participate in external and internal audit

Contribute to continuous improvement initiative

Provide technical trainin

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

You will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

Experience in and/or knowledge of Manufacturing processe

Relevant trade or tertiary qualification

Proficient with Microsoft Office program

Knowledge of CATIA / 3D Engineering models and GD&T is highly regarde

Knowledge of aircraft parts and the Aerospace Industry is highly regarde

Full unrestricted Australian working right

Classification Level: These positions are covered by the Boeing Aerostructures Australia Pty Ltd (Port Melbourne) Enterprise Agreement 2022. These are Level 1 MQE (120%) award positions.
