Our opportunity
As Marketing Manager, you will lead the overall curation of the asset experience making it a more desired destination for customers and the community, a high-value commercial opportunity for our partners, and driving the asset performance.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Your responsibilities will include:
Driving deeper understanding of customer and community needs and expectations across the asset team and broader business through research, analysis and ongoing community engagement.
Championing the customer and community through all aspects of the asset team’s planning, decision making and operations
Strategically positioning the asset experience to ensure a clearly understood value proposition and Experience Vision.
Developing a unique and locally specific Place DNA that is expressed through all aspects of the experience to foster its distinct local character and local appeal.
Owning the guest journeys to ensure the easiest, best and most enjoyable experiences at every touchpoint.
Developing and implementing innovative multi-channel programs and activations that drive increased traffic, enhance the guest experience and create opportunities for retailers and brand partners to engage effectively with key audience groups.
Identifying, creating and supporting the selling of new revenue opportunities through strategic positioning of mall assets, media assets, and mall programming
Developing and executing the annual marketing plan
Annual budgeting based on retailer contributions, national allocations and discretionary expenses as appropriate to achieve asset objectives and support national initiatives.
Actively managing the Marketing Budget including continuous monitoring, monthly forecasting and ROI analysis to maximising marketing dollars.
Flawlessly delivering all brand and national programs at the local level to optimise engagement from customers, community, retailers and partners.
Coordinating all visual merchandising, signage and advertising programs to the highest standards of creativity and presentation and in line with the asset positioning and Place DNA.
Managing all digital channels including website, social media and email marketing, with focus on driving social media engagement, email subscribers and an increase in data collection.
Proactively driving the asset’s reputation to meet or exceed PR and contra targets as well as maintaining effective media relations.
Participating in Manager on Duty rotation, staff meetings and other relevant management responsibilities as a critical member of the asset team.
Fostering an environment that encourages open communication and the achievement of common goals, with regular feedback and meetings.

Your point of difference
You’re an experienced marketing professional with 5–7+ years in the Retail industry, ready to take the lead on asset strategy and drive results. You know how to manage marketing budgets and have strong people management experience, with a passion for developing and empowering people to succeed. Here’s what we’re looking for:

Retail marketing expertise is a must, and experience with tourism assets will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability to execute strategic plans and deliver innovative multi-channel experiences and activations
Experience in business development or brand partnerships is a plus
You’re confident preparing and managing budgets on an accrual basis.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Consumer Experience, Marketing, Production, Business or Commerce is highly desirable
You combine analytical thinking with creative flair
Tech-savvy, with strong Microsoft Office skills and commercial/financial acumen.
An innovator with the ability to think outside the box.
Exceptional eye for styling, presentation and visual merchandising
Ability to think strategically, adapt to change, deal with ambiguity and complexity
Ability to create a high performing outcomes-oriented team and the best environment to deliver objectives
