The Role You Could Play
We are looking for an Assistant Operations Manager who will help lead our MECCA George Street operational processes that ensure the store is organised, well presented and enables our customers to have a seamless and exceptional shopping experience.
With a passion and extensive experience to help manage our stock and back-of-house operations, your responsibilities will be to:
- Nurture and develop a team of Operations Specialists who are responsible for ensuring all operational procedures and visual merchandising standards are met
- Lead, train and empower all team members on operational processes to ensure they know how to execute our operations to a high standard
- Manage the end-to-end stock management process to ensure the store is always in an optimal stock position
- Ensure our store is consistently meeting OH&S standards, keeping our team members and customers safe at all times
- Manage the store’s entire inventory (live, non-line and collateral)
- Lead all stock takes and analyse results to provide recommendations on how to improve both the process and our stock levels
- Ensure the store’s compliance with Loss Prevention requirements, supporting our team members comfortability in applying these concepts on the floor
- Manage and execute all visual merchandising of the store

What You Will Bring

Along with your passion for being a part of a positive, high energy environment, you will have:
- Extensive experience in operations, with at least 1 years managing teams in a retail environment
- Demonstrated ability and a passion for leading and motivating a team, driving operational excellence and delivering on sales and KPI expectations
- Strong stock and non-stock operations knowledge, with the ability to empower store teams to ensure effective and consistent operations across the store
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
- A meticulous attention to detail and passion for problem solving
- Familiar with process optimisation (e.g. Lean) – highly desired
What success looks like in this role:
- Prior experience in successfully leading large retail teams
- A true passion for exceptional customer service, going above and beyond for our customers to create MECCA-magic moments
- Confidence in providing feedback to develop and coach team members
