Downer Energy and Utilities is seeking a new Electrical & Mechanical Estimators to join our growing new project on an 8/6 roster DIDO on work hours.
The Opportunity
To support project estimating function through the effective management of Downer’s estimating. This role will be reporting directly to the Site Manager on a casual basis.
What we are looking for
- Estimating experience across all aspects of the electrical &mechanical and instrumentation industries in both construction, service and maintenance sectors
- 5+ years of experience in an estimating role
- Strong Technical and operational electrical Knowledge base
- End-to-end estimating process, ensuring accurate and competitive costings
- Identify and manage risks, ensuring all proposals align with company policies and market competitiveness
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Well-developed organisational skills – including written and oral communication.
- Strong negotiation skills
- A sound commercial knowledge and understanding of the financial requirements of the deployment processes
- A positive attitude and commitment towards providing a high quality of service
- Skilled in relevant customer software systems
- Skilled in word processing spreadsheets and other software use / access as required
