Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator in our Hot Strip Mill (HSM) Team based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers
In this critical role, you will use your technical background and experience to deliver key outcomes in maintaining and developing the Finishing Mill equipment. You'll implement and improve our maintenance strategies to achieve optimum equipment performance and reduction in failures, as a result; your contributions will ensure that this world-class asset delivers safe, efficient and reliable continuous operations.
What Will You Do?
As a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator, you will:
- supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenance
- coordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the section
- coach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actions
- participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects
- respond to the day-to-day Mechanical availability and reliability issues

As an enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will bring your experience and demonstrate a willingness to develop your skills. You will also bring:
- a Mechanical Trade or tertiary qualifications
- experience working in a similar industry within Mechanical Maintenance, with a focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability
- a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others
- experience in maintenance coordination and collaboration with multiple internal and external customers
