-Previous medical reception experience, preferably in a GP practice is essential but not compulsory .
Experience using clinical and practice management software and good computer literacy desirable

-Good understanding of MBS billing item numbers and their correct application
-Willingness and motivation to undertake training to maintain and improve skill base.
-Basic knowledge of medical terminologies
-Ability to embrace new initiatives
- Knowledge of the Department of Human Services, Medicare, WorkCover and private billing arrangements desirable but not compulsory
- Interested in own professional development
-Demonstrated skills and experience using office equipment – e.g. multiline phone system, computers, photocopiers, printers, facsimile machines, scanners
- Ability to represent the Healthcare Practice in a courteous and professional manner at all times and in all circumstances.
-Ability to follow Practice policies and procedures
-Ability to follow changes in Practice policies and procedures
- Ability to work as a team member and treat all team members respectfully.
-Flexible approach to working arrangements and changing condition.
