GP PRACTICE SEEKING PART-TIME MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST, POTENTIAL TO BE PROMOTED TO PRACTICE MANAGER ROLE
About the Role
We are a well-established general practice that provides comprehensive healthcare in Karuah and are seeking a medical receptionist to join us as soon as possible. There’s room to grow into a practice manager role.
We are friendly and approachable in a solo practice. We are happy to provide flexible hours, training and support.
Skills sought include:
- good team work, and organisational and multitasking skills
- good communication with medical practitioners, patients, families and other agencies
- customer service skills, including meeting/greeting of patients and families in a courteous, respectful & friendly manner
- professionalism and confidentiality
- use of Medical Director software and medical record management
- good computer and telephone skills
- answering the telephone and taking messages
- booking appointments
- online claiming and billing of patients
- scanning of documents
- receiving, distributing and sending mail
- set up of consultation and treatment rooms
- ensure adequate and valid supplies of stock and equipment
- apply with and implement COVID-safe practices
- other housekeeping and administrative duties
- practice accreditation
- practice manager experience will be favoured
Work orientation, support and training in our systems and processes will be provided to the successful candidate. You will be working in a friendly supportive work environment.
Desirable
- Practice Management experience in general practice and proficiency in Medicare, DVA, Workcover and private billings – experience with PRODA preferred.
