About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Metal Fabricator to join our production and engineering team. This role involves the fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal components and structures using a variety of welding and metalworking techniques. You will work closely with technical drawings and specifications to shape and construct high-quality metalwork suited to industrial and structural applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to interpret job requirements
- Select, measure, and prepare appropriate metal stock for fabrication tasks
- Cut and mark out metal sections using hand tools, torches, and metal cutting machinery
- Shape and bend metal components using presses, hammers, and machine tools, including heat-based forming methods
- Align and secure metal parts using clamps, gauges, and measuring instruments to ensure precise assembly
- Perform welding, bolting, and riveting to join metal sections using MIG, TIG, stick, or other welding techniques
- Inspect completed welds for bead width, penetration, structural integrity, and compliance with design specifications
- Finish fabricated components by cleaning, grinding, filing, polishing, or treating with acid solutions as required
- Maintain cleanliness of welds and fabricated parts by filing, chiselling, or surface finishing
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience in structural, industrial, or pressure vessel fabrication
- Proficiency in welding processes and metalworking tools
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $70,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
