MINE TECHNICIAN - WATER MANAGEMENT

The Role
We are seeking a self-motivated and safety-conscious Mine Technician to join our Water Management team, as part of a team or independently, participate in all aspects of mine water activities to ensure dry mining conditions, provision of sufficient water for dust suppression. Operate equipment as directed to ensure maximum capacity & availability from MMO water supplies & Borefields for process use.

The Role

Operate equipment as directed to ensure maximum capacity & availability from MMO water supplies & Borefields for process use.
You will be responsible for:
Operating and monitoring process equipment in line with procedures
Maintaining and recording process data and identifying risks to water or tailings operations
Planned and unplanned Borefields tasks
Daily inspections of work areas
Inspecting, maintaining and installing Water infrastructure including sumps, trenches and pipes
Poly welding to construct and repair pipelines
Relocation of pumps and pipelines
Maintaining high housekeeping and environmental standards
Completing minor mechanical maintenance and supporting trades during complex tasks
Participating in training and development to build competency in area-specific equipment
Once competent, assisting with training of less experienced operators
Supporting broader operational duties as needed
This role would suit an experienced Water Management Technician. You will also have:
A current WA ‘HR’ class driver’s licence
High Risk, Lic RB, DG, CV, EWP, Forklift
HDPE Poly welding and electrofusion
Experience with mobile equipment, IT loaders, Excavators, Telehandlers
Experience in remote or FIFO work environments
Understanding of mechanical diesel pump sets
Familiarity with shift work and formal safety protocols
Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written instructions and complete records
Computer literacy, including use of maintenance and document management systems
A commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance
