A great opportunity has become available for an experienced National HSE Assurance Business Partner to join our corporate team. This is a great opportunity to build your career within a high performing, passionate and well respected team, in a highly collaborative role where you will be championing key improvements in relation to health & safety, driving change management and enterprise solutions.
The main focus of the role is to drive and support the delivery of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) assurance programs aligned with the Thales Australia business and HSE strategies, ensuring conformance with regulatory requirements and improving the HSE management system outcomes, while also liaising with external providers for compliance audits and overseeing HSE improvement programs. This is a national role and Monthly travel (~1 week) will be required.
As the National HSE Assurance Business Partner, you are accountable for:
- Develop and oversee HSE assurance programs, ensuring they are comprehensive and in line with relevant regulations and internal systems.
- Support the business in obtaining and maintaining external management system certifications such as ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO9001.
- Provide scheduling and logistical support for internal and external assurance activities.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the company's HSE Management System, including integration with other management systems and processes.
- Evaluate HSE documents for compliance with workplace health and safety and environmental legislation, and support national programs focused on improving work health and safety outcomes
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Diploma in work health and safety or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in work, health, and safety, preferably in large complex organizations.
- Experience as an ISO45001/ISO14001 and/or Integrated Management System auditor.
- Ability to design, develop, and deliver practical HSE assurance programs in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Proficiency in developing and using HSE Information Management Systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate performance, and drive positive change in HSE culture. .
