At Peninsula Gymnastics, we’ve fostered movement, fun and personal growth for thousands of children and young people over the past two decades. Our NinjaGym program has become a cornerstone of that success—creating opportunities for kids and teens to challenge themselves physically and mentally in a high-energy, engaging environment.
With a legacy that includes five of our athletes and coaches featuring on Australian Ninja Warrior—including champion Zak Stolz and furthest fastest Charlie Robbins—we know what it takes to develop exceptional movers and confident humans.
About the Program
NinjaGym is a high-energy, skills-based movement program inspired by ninja warrior, martial arts, parkour and street gymnastics. Designed to captivate participants aged 5–17, NinjaGym develops:
- Coordination
- Strength
- Spatial awareness
- Confidence through progressive goal-setting
- A strong foundation for other sports (boarding, biking, climbing, skiing, surfing and more)
We prioritise fun, social connection and safe risk-taking in a structured and supportive environment.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic coach to join our growing NinjaGym team. This role will focus on supporting and driving the growth of our already successful program.
You will:
- Deliver high-quality, energetic NinjaGym classes for a variety of age groups and skill levels
- Apply progressive coaching strategies to develop participants’ movement skills safely and effectively
- Contribute to session planning, class development and program innovation
- Foster a positive and inclusive class environment where every participant feels empowered to improve and succeed
- Support event delivery and community engagement where required
- Be part of a values-led, team-focused workplace that believes in developing both participants and coaches
Who We’re Looking For
You are:
- A confident, engaging coach with experience in gymnastics, parkour, ninja training, martial arts or functional movement disciplines
- Passionate about movement and empowering young people through physical challenge and growth
- Skilled in progressive, safe coaching methods
- Comfortable working in a high-energy team and contributing ideas to improve classes and programs
- Enthusiastic about goal-setting, mentoring and building rapport with participants and families
- Committed to safety, inclusivity and fun
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
- Gymnastics Australia or Recreational Gymnastics Australia Coaching accreditation in Gymnastics or accreditation in Parkour, Ninja (or equivalent experience in physical movement disciplines)
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with a range of ages (5–17)
