We are looking for a skilled Occupational Health and Safety Advisor and are thriving business, with expected growth potential. We now require this position within the business to join our team on site in Orange NSW.
Tasks
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing environmental health and occupational health and safety (OHS) management plans
- H&S Evaluation: Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to identify health and safety hazards. They analyze work environments and design programs to prevent disease or injury to workers.
- Identifying workplace hazards and assessing and managing associated risks
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to reduce environmental and workplace pollution caused by chemical and physical hazards
- Promoting ergonomic practices by aligning workstations, tools, and tasks with employee needs
- Conducting inspections and audits of workplaces, processes, and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Training staff on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work procedures
- Documenting and investigating workplace injuries and equipment damage, and reporting on safety performance metrics
- Coordinating the safe and timely return-to-work process for injured employees
- Policy Development - Collaborating with management, occupational health and safety specialists develop policies and programs that ensure a safe working environment. They also prepare reports and documentation detailing health and safety compliance.
- Build and maintain safety standards across company installations
