About the Role:
This role is an integral member of our National Transport Office (NTO) Team and will be responsible for the successful running of our Linehaul operations.
The primary purpose of this position is liaising with the drivers, operations staff, compliance and customers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Allocation of drivers and scheduled runs
- Communicating departure and arrival times with customers, depots, and drivers
- Knowledge of driver fatigue and mass in accordance with legislative requirements
- Maximising the utilisation of fleet to achieve optimal operational efficiency
- Implementation and enforcement of processes and business rules
- Ensuing drivers conduct is in line with company policies and procedures
- Achieving customer satisfaction and quality service by ensuring all "on time" driver performance
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar role & industry, ideally with temperature-controlled freight.
- Knowledge and monitoring of fatigue and mass in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Understanding of the chain of responsibility.
- Great organisation, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing objectives
- Clear and concise communication skills. with a friendly and helpful manner with an ability to deal effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Sound knowledge of metropolitan road networks
- A mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to your work.
- Flexibility to work an equal time roster which include weekends
