YOUR NEW ROLE


The Operations Manager is required to support the Head of Operations - Ticketing and is responsible for supervising the Box Office sales channel across multiple locations onsite and offsite, day to day operations and long range planning. In the absence of the Head of Operations – Ticketing, this position assumes the temporary authority of seniority within the department. The Operations Manager contributes to the efficient administration of the SOH Box Office ticketing services including reconciliation, supervising staff, the development and coaching of new and existing staff, timekeeping and general administration.


The position will collaborate seamlessly with the Operations Manager - Contact Centre, Duty Supervisors and wider Ticketing Management team. The position is also required to service a range of both internal and external stakeholders and representatives of presenting organisations in the delivery of sales and services for all ticketed performances, tours, experiences and other visitor propositions. The role requires working onsite for key special events, including New Year’s Eve, Australia Day and other major events and festivals as required.

ARE YOU THE ONE?


You might be the right fit if you have:


  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in ticketing sales environment.

  • Experience in the use of Ticketing Systems such as Tessitura and other business systems for the application of telephony and salary payment administration.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills in both a B2C and B2B context.

  • Strong level interpersonal, negotiation and networking skills to maintain relationships and achieve high service standards.

  • Proven financial reconciliation of daily takings experience.

  • Ability to effectively supervise and coach staff through day to day operations.
