About Role
As Operations Manager – Horticulture you will be a leader in our business and have accountability for ensuring that our high standards of contract delivery are maintained whilst delivering against agreed contractual commitments. You will oversee several contracts across various sites in Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Successfully executing contract deliverables on time and within budget
- Identifying both internal and external opportunities to assist in the growth of the business
- Effectively coordinating resources to ensure optimal performance
- Ensuring positive stakeholder relationships are maintained across contract lifecycles
- Leading, mentoring and work collaboratively with all operational staff

About You
You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens (completion of further study will be looked upon favourably) and at least five years' experience leading high performing teams to exceed the expectations of clients. You have a strong technical knowledge of all things horticulture and make it a practice of keeping up with emerging practices that you use to flex your delivery approach and ultimately improve outcomes for clients.
You pride yourself on your collaborative approach and like to lead by example. You have experience motivating, imparting knowledge to and assisting team members to give their best at all times.
You have a flexible approach to dealing with the diverse needs of a large client group and have proven excellent organisation, problem solving and time management and decision-making skills.
Your well-honed commercial acumen, financial and budgeting expertise, proficiency with IT and exceptional attention to detail will assist you in succeeding in this role.
Over time you have developed excellent negotiation abilities and your written and verbal communication skills are excellent.
You have a white card and valid driver's licence. You already possess, or are willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check.
